Drip irrigation is an irrigation technique that simultaneously reduces water consumption while increasing production efficiency. In traditional irrigation methods, a part of the water never reaches the soil by flying with the wind or evaporating on the plant. The part reaching the soil can flow to the other directionand therefore a large part of the water can never reach to the roof of the plant, so the yield from water drops in these methods. With drip irrigation technique, water reaches directly to the plant and provides about 60% water saving compared to traditional methods of water use.Another important issue is to increase the yield by watering the rate that is needed for the crop grown with the drip irrigation technique. With this technique, crop is prevented from inadequately watered and dried or decaying.
